Salient Adds Strategic Hire to Lead Growth Across Its Network

Tyler West will spearhead growth across the Salient network of agencies.

CHICAGO, April 4, 2024 — Salient announced today its addition of Tyler West to lead business development efforts across Salient, Candor and Honeymoon to continue the trajectory and momentum of growth for the group of agencies.

West brings a wealth of experience and expertise in leading and pursuing business development for some of the most recognizable and formidable shops, including OLSON, Deutsch LA and Crispin Porter + Bogusky.

He started his career in Minneapolis at OLSON before joining Deutsch LA in 2014. During his tenure there, he oversaw the addition of multiple significant wins, including Sprint, Pizza Hut, Volkswagen Digital, and 7-Eleven, and listing twice on Ad Age’s A-List. He carried that innovation to CPB briefly before his most recent role with Vericast, where he led Digital Brand Strategy across the Ad Tech company’s Innovation Team and was a driving force behind its CTV, Digital Audio and Retail Media Network business. His passion for connecting brands, people and things has led to a successful track record of growth in his career.

West will report to Daniel Welch, Salient’s Senior Managing Partner and Head of Growth, as Partner, VP of Growth.

Salient’s acquisition last year of Oklahoma City-based Candor, a public relations, communications and digital marketing agency, along with a streak of recent wins across Honeymoon and Salient’s advisory offering have contributed to strong momentum and collaboration as the agency continues to grow.

Chief Financial Officer

Chris Romo brings over 15 years of expertise in financial management to his role at Salient, overseeing Financial Operations, including forecasting, stakeholder relations, and capital structure optimization. He also supports operational and risk management processes across the agency.

Before joining Salient, Chris held senior finance positions at leading organizations, such as BDO USA, where he led FP&A functions for the national IT consulting business, including offshore capabilities.
